Cycle Storage Shelter design.

Cycle storage shelters are delivered in kit form. An installation service is available if required (quotation supplied). End frames are fully welded. Cycle storage shelters are available for either base plate or submerged fixing into concrete foundation details are available on request.

Cycle Storage Shelter options

Options include end and back panels, security gates and on specific items, transparent roof, end and back cladding as an alternative to the standard ColourCoat HPS200 Plastisol.

Transparent cladding 'Urban Engineering uses 5mm thick PET ' not polycarbonate for transparent cladding. PET offers superior performance over polycarbonate:

• extreme impact, fracture & shatter resistant (certified for use as machine guards)
• does not support combustion used in the air-craft industry (Fire classification B1, DIN 4102-1)
• environmentally friendly
• fully recyclable
• UV stable and guaranteed for 10 years against weathering
• resistance to cleaning materials, alcohols and solvents

Finishes available

The importance of finishing a product is not only the visible top coat but equally the pre-treatment of the steelwork.

All Urban Engineering cycle storage shelters and cycle storage racks are shot blasted to SA2.5, degreased, etch primed with a Zinc Phosphate anti-corrosive primer and electrostatic spray, top coated with Polyester powder coat which is heat-cured onto the steelwork.

Urban Engineering provide two levels of high performance corrosion protection, these are:

Polyester Powder Coat

(80 '" 110 microns thickness) offers good colour stability in external environments, high durability and high resistance to weathering.

Hot Dipped Galvanised to BSEN ISO 1461-1999

Ideal for external conditions an extreme weather resistant, hard wearing finish.

Standard colours available are illustrated below, however, most BS or RAL colours can be applied additional cost may be incurred for non standard colour.

Exterior cladding

All roof, back and side cladding on Urban Engineering shelters is ColourCoat HPS200 Plastisol, offering a significantly improved total performance. The organic coated steel and its Galvalloy substrate is strip steel, hot dipped, coated with an alloy comprising 95% zinc and 5.0% aluminium.

Guaranteed for a minimum period of 15-20 years depending on location in the UK (inland or coastal).

weather side of ColourCoat HPS200 offers superior durability, retention of gloss and mould resistant.

reverse side is a two coat grey corrosion resistant primer, topped with a heat cured high-performance polyester coating.
